I have recently enjoyed reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It tells the story of Diana Bishop, who is descended from a line of witches, but chooses not to allow magic into her life. She opens an ancient enchanted manuscript at the Bodleian Library in Oxford and triggers a chain of events that place her in grave danger and the only person she can trust to help her is a vampire.
This is the first book of a trilogy and the final pages left me wanting to read more of Diana's adventures. If you enjoy books about magic and witches, this book should appeal to you. I can't wait for the next book to be published!
