Nothing is more evocative of the taste of summer than fresh strawberries.  Yesterday, we went to visit the farm to buy eggs and en route, we saw signs for strawberries.  It seems that it is now officially the strawberry season.  As a lover of strawberries, how could I resist?  They are quite delicious.

If I had had the time, I would have written about the solstice, but my friend Tracy at Pink Purl did such a lovely post that I decided to write about something else instead.

Summer often means travel, though we had no immediate plans to go anywhere until the end of last week.  It seems that we are going on a journey and a long one at that.  At the end of this week, we will be packing up our vehicle and heading 1890 km or 1174 miles for those who don't understand metric; for a job interview.  I have decided not to reveal our destination at this time, but hope to have some good news by the time we return home.  I will be absent from here for the next two weeks.

Such luscious strawberries...mmm... I break for strawberries too... LOL! I just love strawberry time. They are rather expensive at the moment here, may wait a week or so for the prices to dip down. I've been wanting to try a strawberry cheesecake--a more healthier version. ;o) Thank you for the mention, very love of you--and glad you enjoyed the Solstice post. But VERY exciting about your travel plans! And that IS very far to go for an interview. Sending all best wishes your way for safe travels, happy days away, and best of all that the job is yours!! :o) ((LOVE & HUGS))

Love strawberries! The season will be over too soon also. I just bought a kilo of them and will be making up a jug of strawberry buttermilk. It is so yummy and we use very low fat buttermilk so healthy.
