Sugar Snaps and Strawberries

What a terrific title for a book and an even better one is Heavy Petal, the title of the author's blog.  I discovered Sugar Snaps and Strawberries by chance, when I was browsing in the library.  I love books that have lots of photographs and this one is lavishly illustrated.  Furthermore, Andrea makes gardening accessible to the novice gardener, like me.  She convinces us that even in a limited space, it is possible to create an edible garden.  Well, I'm giving it my best efforts.  After sowing carrots and beetroot this week, I've now added some chives and basil to the collection.

This sound a great, informative and visually splendid book, Marie--good review! I will be adding this one to my list, though doubt our library will have it. I like the focus on small space growing, as I can always use tips for that--our garden is small, and oddly shaped, so it is a challenge at times. I love the cover alone of this book--very English summer garden, isn't it?! Happy Week, my friend ((HUGS))
