January

January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow.

Happy New Year!

The days seem to have flown by since Christmas and it has been a week since I last posted. I hope that everyone enjoyed the festive season. We had a green Christmas, but as the nursery rhyme says, January brings the snow.... and it certainly has.

Actually, we don't have much snow, but we have been contending with extremely cold temperatures with wind-chills in the minus 20 C range. Even the shortest of walks has proved to be a test of endurance.

This lunchtime saw the temperature hovering around -7 C with only a -14 C wind-chill. Positively balmy really! So I took the opportunity to go for a short walk.

The last of the berries not discovered by the birds. If the snow remains on the ground for long, I am sure that these will soon be gone.

Heading back home to the warm for a welcome cup of tea.

Wishing you all health and happiness in 2010.

A cup of tea sounds like a good idea! I've gone mad for chai this year, a Twinings tea bag and much nicer than the really milky sweet stuff at Starbucks.
Cold fingers need a warm cuppa.

*Happy New Year*
Oohhh this snow, we have had snow for 3 weeks now & it is still falling. Oohhhh and the cold! *eek*
Thank you for you message, I was just doing a new blog post when you left your message. No I didn't hurt myself when I fell thank you, but you just feel so silly don't you! Lol!
We also had a lovely anniversary, stayed in doors all day & watched the snow fall whilst being all snuggly.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas & new year.
lots of love

The joys of a hot cup of tea after being out in the cold! You live in such a pretty neighborhood. We are going to take a walk as soon as we had a little snack as we want to get out in the snow. It is cold and snowing this weekend with travel advisories for going out. But it will be fun to walk around our neighborhood in it. Hope your new year brings you happiness and warmth dear Marie!

Hugs ~
