In The Dark

I haven't had much success with night-time photography. I thought that I would try a couple of photos of the lights in our neighbourhood, but I couldn't find the tripod and as I was taking them at dusk, I was dodging the cars in the evening rush-hour!

The garden of the house looks so pretty with all of those Christmas lights ~ I am going to try to get out and take some better photos soon.

The Christmas season has begun! Hubby is putting lights on our tree as I write! It's hard with night-time photography. Your dusk shots are very fine here, Marie. :o) Hope you're having a good weekend. We light our advent candles tonight. ((HUGS))

Just discovered you via Sweet Myrtle - I love the look of the Christmas lights. My camera doesn't like the dark at all - and I don't have a tripod, which makes it even worse, I think.

I love the photos. Without going outside and sitting very still with a tripod and timer, it's almost impossible to get good shots. Upping the ISO can help, if your camera has the settings, and if you have a fence-post or other stable structure that can help too :)

A question for you: As an expat, have you found the change from England to Canada a difficult one to make?

Great photos, there are one or two houses around us with decorations up for Christmas but they aren't as pretty as these ones:)
