Day Trips

We are having a strange summer with more than our share of rainfall. We had 50 mm of rain in two days last weekend, so the opportunities to go out for pleasure are few and far between.

Two weeks ago, we managed a drive out to Cobourg, which lies east of the city on the shores of Lake Ontario. It was a bright, but chilly afternoon when we got there and I spent half the visit shivering, but we still went through the ritual of a visit to the ice cream shop!

Cobourg looks lovely....these photos are sensational, Marie! It has been a funny summer here at times too, especially now in July--rain every second day seemingly--LOL! Have to grab the sunny days while we can. :o) And definitely enjoy the ice cream along the way too! ;o) Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))

Cobourg looks a lovely place. We, too have been having extremely wet weather and have been trying to go our for walks when we can in between the showers. An ice-cream always makes an outing special, I think:)
