Blossom Time

In the last few days there has been an eruption of blossom on the trees in our neighbourhood and the scent of lilac fills the air.

I don't know what this shrub is, but the flowers are very striking and later in the year it will be covered in berries.

Many of the trees are adorned in white like brides at a wedding. Sadly, with the winds we are experiencing today, I suspect that the blossom won't last much longer.

Hi there!
The blossoms have been stunning here, this year!
Your second pic looks like it could be a Japonica...but I might be wrong! ;-)

i love your blossom pics :-)

ours seem to be on the way out now though, they were lovely in the sunshine, but the recent rain seems to have washed them all away!

Sooo very, very beautiful is springtime in Toronto just now! That second does look to be a Japonica something, as Sal above says...not sure though. Love that cheerful color though. THanks for sharing this pretty post with us, Marie! Happy weekend, my friend ((HUGS))

As Sal says - blossoms have been wonderful over here in the UK this year now they are gone, mostly washed away by the heavy rain and winds we have had over the last few days. Lovely colourful photos:)
