Closing The Ring

Last weekend, we rented Closing The Ring, which is about an American woman who honours a wartime promise of love until the discovery of a ring stirs memories of the past. The story is told over two continents and is woven together from the events of the modern day and 1944, when American airmen flying B17 bombers were stationed in Northern Ireland.

The film was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2007 where it was described as 'a remarkable tale of love, loss and redemption' which is at the heart of a tale complicated by The Troubles in Northern Ireland.

If you want to watch a film that draws you in and that makes you care about the characters, as well as a heart-warming tale of love, this one is for you.

Hi Marie, I've been trying to leave a comment on your mouthwatering image of the tangerines but to no avail... so trying once more. Although I expect by now the bowl is empty - hope you enjoyed them!! Warm wishes to you, Vxx
