Precious Time

We officially changed to Eastern Standard Time at 2 a.m. I had to change the clocks this morning and in order to adjust my precious chiming clock, I needed to go all the way around the dial; waiting for the chimes on the hour and the half hour.

This was more than an exercise in patience, as I started thinking about the passing of time and how the minutes and hours slip by; often unnoticed. Life can be so hectic that whole weeks can pass and when I reflect on them; I cannot even remember what I have achieved.

I am certain that I am not the only person who wonders where this year has gone: it is November already and Christmas is just around the corner. The pace seems to increase as the old year draws to a close and the new one arrives.

I am going to try to find time each day to reflect on those precious hours and minutes. These are the hours of my life slipping away and I will pass this way only once.

I cannot believe how fast this year has passed and here we are in November. I am going to let you inspire me and change my chiming clock when I go downstairs. I am known for not doing it and am always asked if it is on winter or summer time. LOL! I love your clock by the way! What a pretty thing it is.

Hugs ~
